Join us at 8:30 or 10:45AM on Sunday, December 15 for our Chancel Choir's presentation of the cantata And There Was Light. This cantata is a celebration of light filled with time-honored carols and expressive original songs. The first half of the cantata is dedicated to hopeful prophecies associated with the coming Light of the World. With the birth of Jesus, the second part moves forward to declare the tidings of great joy. The choir's cantata is always a highlight of the Advent/Christmas season. Please join us and bring a friend!
Saturday, December 21st is the winter solstice, marking the shortest day and longest night of the year. On this night, we gather for worship to remember those who are not with us for the holidays, to acknowledge the ways we may not feel like celebrating this time of year, and to seek healing and wholeness from God. Our service will be at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel, led by Rev. Betzy Elifrits Warren, Director of the Wesley Foundation. There will be a time of remembrance and a time of anointing with oil and prayer, for those who want anointing. This quiet and meditative service offers a time to get away from the noise and busyness and connect with God in a different way.
