Wesley's youth ministry provides opportunities for fellowship, service, study and worship for all youth in grades 7-12.

What we do

SERVICE

Wesley youth are not only active within the church, but also within the community of Charleston and beyond. In addition to service projects throughout the year, members of the UMYF go on a mission trip every summer. Check out this article about our most recent trip to Clay County, Kentucky!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday mornings we meet together for study and conversation about many aspects of our faith. Join us each week at 9:40am. The middle school class (grades 7&8) meets in the Purple Room, located in the Education Wing, room 126. The high school class (grades 9-12) meets in Room 112 which is just off the Fellowship Hall.

CONFIRMATION CLASS

Confirmation is a ten-week process for youth beginning in 7th grade who want to join the church. In confirmation the youth learn about the history and beliefs of the United Methodist Church, take field trips and work closely with adult mentors in the congregation.

UNITED METHODIST YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

UMYF is all about fellowship, service and fun. It is time every week to come together as members of the Body of Christ to learn from one another, share our beliefs and questions, talk about what's happening in our lives and just have fun. One week we may play kickball and the next week paint a mural. Whatever we do, we end the evening with a worship time when we slow down, turn our hearts to God, share our joys and concerns and prepare ourselves for the week ahead. UMYF meets every Sunday evening in the Fellowship Hall.

Middle School UMYF meets from 4:30-6:00

High School UMYF meets from 6:30-8:00
