ASP MISSION TRIP
Thank you does not seem to be big enough for the gratitude and appreciation felt by the ASP
team that served in Bell County, KY July 3rd
– 9
th! Crew #1, led by Brock Warren and Edie
Classen, worked on a home to continue a “hug” for the homeowner. A “hug” adds insulation
to the home, in order to make it more energy efficient, and allows the homeowner to utilize
money saved on energy bills on other necessary expenses. This crew worked well together,
gaining new skills and confidence as the week went on. Crew #2, led by Sarah Bergin and
George Henshaw, worked on J Channeling around a home’s rafters, in anticipation of siding
being placed on the home later, to complete the “hug.”
This team had a very tedious task, but
was able to work together to complete the job and prepare the site for crews to finish up the
job after them. This year’s ASP theme is “Rooted in Love,” and Wesley UMC’s mission team
experienced love beyond just their week of service. The love shown by the church to get us
on the trip and the prayers while on the trip, kept us working to show the love of Christ to
each other, the homeowners, other churches we served with, and the ASP staff.
Thank you,
again, for all that you do to support our ASP mission trips. P
